Torque
Torque tools, such as torque wrenches or torque screwdrivers, are used to tighten bolts, screws, and other fasteners to a specific torque value. However, the accuracy of these tools can vary over time due to wear and tear or other factors, which can lead to under- or over-tightening of fasteners. To ensure that torque tools are accurate and reliable, they need to be calibrated regularly.
Calibration involves comparing the readings of a torque tool with the Torque Wrench Calibrator System, which measures torque with a high degree of accuracy. If the readings of the tool are not within a certain tolerance range of the standard, adjustments can be made to the tool to bring it back into calibration.
Calibration of torque tools is essential in industries such as automotive, aerospace, and manufacturing, where precise torque values are critical to ensure safety, quality, and reliability. Regular calibration also helps to prolong the lifespan of torque tools and minimize the risk of errors or accidents.
